Rishab Shetty is currently on a hectic visit to Bengaluru despite his busy schedule working on his upcoming movie, the prequel of Kantara, in his hometown of Kundapura. The actor and director recently achieved significant success at the 70th National Awards, winning accolades such as Best Actor and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Rishab had previously received the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film for his directorial work on Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale Kasaragodu in 2018.

Expressing his joy, Rishab mentions that winning a national award had always been a dream of his since he began his career in the industry two decades ago. He describes the feeling of winning a national award as fulfilling due to the esteemed reputation that accompanies it.

Rishab credits the success of his latest film, Kantara, to his close ties to his hometown and the support of the community in Keradi. He expresses gratitude towards the film's producer, Vijay Kiragandur, for believing in the project and acknowledges the role of the villagers in Keradi and the daiva nartakas in his achievement.
